MAY 2022 — Jupiter Neptune conjunction energy has peaked in April and will begin to subside in May as planets separate, and especially once Jupiter enters Aries on May 11, 2022. Thus, if there is a price bubble or a build up of inventory in the areas related to Neptune (e.g., oil/gas prices or the inventory of some medicine), the bubble may pop or the excessive inventory may lead to the drop in prices/demand starting in May, especially after May 11. With Aries being a fire sign ruled by Mars (god of war), it is possible that some of the unused inventory may even be burned, re-purposed (e.g., to flight fires or for military purposes), or catches fire and burns on its own. [Speaking of Jupiter in Aries, once Jupiter moves into the sign, expect relatively more dry and hot weather until mid-October 2022 when Jupiter will briefly retrograde into Pisces. Jupiter will re-enter Aries in late Dec 2022. During Jupiter’s retrograde stay in Pisces from mid-Oct to late Dec 2022 concerns about excessive precipitation, spread of infectious diseases, and high prices on oil, gas, chemicals, etc. will likely resurface.]

USA: May 2022 – Mar, 2037 — Neptune’s transit through the 4th house in the natal chart of the USA. Neptune (confusion, deception, water, oil, chemicals, etc.) will slowly transit through the 4th house of homeland, land, farming, food production, real-estate, banks’ assets, etc. over the course of about 15 years. Neptune’s transit will be a slow-unfolding background influence that can manifest as one or more of the following: confusion about real-estate, deceptive bank practices, uncertainty about banks’ stability, uncertainty about what is homeland, confusion about borders, shifting borders or status (e.g., a small town becomes a large city and vice versa, a district switches states, a district becomes a state, etc.), uncertainty about farming practices or food production, farming affected by floods/chemicals/pollution, significant oil/gas production + transportation projects, increased maritime transportation projects, initiatives to address water pollution, spread of diseases/infestation/drugs, spread of some religious beliefs/groups, increased popularity of some music/movies/virtual reality products, increased production of beverages/alcohol/cannabis, increased focus on spirituality/yoga/natural healing, etc.

Within this 15 year time period, 2022 through early 2024 may be especially difficult and even turbulent times. These years coincide with Neptune’s entry into the 4th house just as Pluto returns to its natal position (a major overhaul of all old systems and power structures, a rebirth; may be accompanied by scandals and power struggles at the top). Fluctuation in real-estate prices, problems with the banks and financial institutions (banks under water?), floods destroying land and agriculture, oil spills, chemical poisoning of soil, confusion about the borders (of the country and individual entities, such as states), confusion about the leadership, overhaul of the financial system, power plays among corporate and governmental entities [to gain control over resources / profits], overhaul of the power structures, reform or dismantling of power structures or powerful organizations (such as police, nuclear power plants, and banks), massive tax reforms, and even constitutional changes. This may be a chaotic time, but the events may result in certain outdated power structures and dysfunctional systems being purged/reformed. 

Prior Neptune’s transit through the U.S. 4th house was from Feb 1860 to Dec 1873. During that time, several important events unfolded:

• The 1860s decade “was noted for featuring numerous major societal shifts in the Americas. In the United States, the election of abolitionist Abraham Lincoln to the presidency in 1860 led to the secession of the southern states in the form of the Confederate States of America (CSA).”  This resulted in the American Civil War (1861-1865) (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1860s). 

• 1860s was also a period of a boom in the young petroleum industry in the US: “Petroleum became a major industry following the oil discovery at Oil Creek, Pennsylvania, in 1859” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_petroleum_industry_in_the_United_States). On Aug 27, 1859 Edwin Drake struck oil in Western Pennsylvania. His drilling is considered the “first large-scale commercial extraction of petroleum” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pennsylvania_oil_rush). In the following decade or so, there was an oil rush and oil industry developed substantially. The amount of oil produced and transported increased significantly. Oil companies first built pipelines in the 1860s (https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/americas-first-oil-pipelines-180953870/). [Neptune = oil, 4th house = land, together = oil-rich land]

• Starting in 1860s, several laws (so called Homestead Acts) have been passed by which an applicant could acquire ownership of government land or the public domain. The first of the acts, the Homestead Act of 1862, opened up millions of acres (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homestead_Acts). 

• On Feb 3, 1870, the 15th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was passed, which gave the right to vote to Black men, became law when the required number of states ratified it (https://www.thoughtco.com/timeline-from-1870-to-1880-1774040).

DAILY:

MAY 23, 2021 (MON): Medium influence; market may go up (55%). 

May 23-24, 2022 — Mars at the very end of Pisces will be in the mid-point between Mercury Rx in Taurus and Pluto Rx in Capricorn — Increased focus on military activities, weapons, sports, athletes, as well as arguments or protests over deals involving oil, gas, navy, chemicals, pharma, beverages, etc. If a contract involving a related area is being negotiated at this time (e.g., about oil deliveries), there may be some confusion about the details or the terms of the deal. There may be a sense of some build-up, push for, culmination, or last-minute preparations related to the areas above (e.g., to reach an agreement related to oil or maritime transportation). If the deal is called-off or not reached, the moment may pass and a similar situation may not re-appear for a long time (years). The deals or negotiations may involve governments or large corporations and be focused on long-term projects (e.g, long term sales of weapons or oil, navy collaboration, etc.). If a deal is pushed through (esp. on concerns that the time may be running out), it is important to carefully check the terms and clarify all the details — with both Mercury and Pluto being retrograde, some terms may have to be revised later on.

May 10 – June 2, 2022 — Mercury retrograde period. Expect higher than usual reports of delays, errors, or problems involving contracts, negotiations, communication, transportation, and commercial activities. Contracts signed at this time may need to be revised at a later point when Mercury turns direct. Ongoing negotiations may stall due to one or more parties not communicating clearly or omitting some critical details. Good time for reviewing previous contracts or paperwork, revising previously issued reports, re-evaluating previous offers, etc. If a contract / project/  negotiation is put on hold at this time or a trip is postponed, activities may resume once Mercury goes direct in early June. Travel (esp. by plane or car/bus) and short distance shipping may slow down or become more cumbersome (e.g., due to health-related concerns or restrictions, carriers experiencing problems with their fleet/drivers, or excessively windy weather).

Update (05.14.22): On 5-13-22, Tesla and SpaceX billionaire Elon Musk announced that his Twitter buyout was temporarily on hold. Musk plans to conduct his own research into how many Twitter users are fake accounts. Twitter said in a public filing this month less than 5% of users are fake or spam accounts (https://www.businessinsider.com/elon-musk-random-sample-how-many-twitter-users-are-bots-2022-5). This sort of activity (putting a contract on hold, doing additional research, looking for missing details, re-evaluating the offer, etc.) is a good example of Mercury retrograde energy. With the planet turning direct in early June, I expect that things will move forward and/or speed up at that time as well.

USA: May 22 – Jun 25, 2022 (esp. May 26-28 and Jun 15-17); Sep 1 – Oct 9, 2022 (esp. Sep 9-10 and Oct 1-2); Jan 9 – Feb 5, 2023 (esp. Jan 14-15 and Jan 30-31) — Jupiter will square Venus and then Jupiter in the country’s chart. Expect increased news about laws, legislation, immigration, foreign affairs, international trade agreements, long distance travel/shipments, higher education, and workforce/employment. Laws and guidance may focus on regulating expenses, costs, benefits and funding pertaining to healthcare, workforce, and public services (e.g., police, teachers, postal service, fire fighters, etc.). We may hear about regulations that aim to improve these areas through increased funding and expanded programs. With Jupiter signifying higher education and international connections, there may be a significant increase in spending on these areas. 

For ex., regulations may involve student loan forgiveness, services for immigrants, healthcare check requirements for international travelers, international job outsourcing, workplace fairness, support for refugees, etc. The tense square aspect may manifest as disagreements about the regulations, conflicts about which laws are just, push to legalize some activity(ies), protests against perceived unjust laws, and/or struggles to pass the laws. At the same time, Jupiter and Venus combination tends to manifest as an overestimation, over-spending, excessive optimism, inflation, etc. Thus, if laws or regulations are passed or amended at this time, they may involve a great deal of spending or a signifiant increase in the number of individuals receiving benefits (e.g., students’ loans are forgiven, teachers’ salary goes up, immigrants/refugees receive more benefits, etc.). There may also be increased efforts to curb inflation, but they may be more successful after this transit passes than during this transit. Specific to healthcare, there may be increased news about diabetes and conditions associated with excess sugar or fat, or liver-related issues (e.g., regulation of treatments, import/export of medication, or some international agreements).

MAY 24, 2021 (TUE): Strong influence; market may go up (55%). There may be increased volatility and/or an intra-day trend reversal on Tue (possibly from down in the morning or pre-open to up by the close on the news of some deal).

May 24 – July 5, 2022 — Mars in Aries. Aries is associated with heat, fires, explosions, weapons, military, sports, fast action, high speed, engines, sharp objects, taking risks, accidents, competitiveness, macho behavior, fighting, attacks, leadership, bravery, etc. Mars rules Aries and will be in a strong position, so the qualities of Mars and Aries are likely to manifest strongly at this time. There may be increased news about the related events (e.g., military campaigns, heat, fires, sporting events, accidents, explosions, etc.) throughout this period and especially when Mars forms aspects with slower moving planets. 

Specifically, on May 24-29, Mars will conjunct Jupiter and on June 28 – July 4 — Mars will square Pluto in Capricorn. Expect news about drought, fires, explosions, protests, accidents and attacks (esp. on leaders or prominent persons) during Mars conjunct Jupiter in Aries transit, and, news about violent attacks, anti-governmental protests, accidents involving fires and structural damages, stronger than usual earthquakes, and problems for older/inflexible leaders during Mars square Pluto transit. See “Glance ahead” section below for more details about the mars square Pluto transit. 

May 24-29, 2022 — Mars conjunct Jupiter in Aries. On May 25, the duo will also be joined by Moon (mother, emotions) for extra emphasis. Mars = fire, heat, drought, military, attacks, fighting, daredevil attitude, etc. Jupiter = excess, fat/oil, gas, expansion, laws, foreign relations, long distance transportation, higher education, etc. This transit may bring increased news about droughts and fires, protests due to some legal decisions (Roe v. Wade?), anger over international deals (related to fat/oil/gas, military/weapons, or long distance shipments), expansion of military campaigns, and attacks/accidents involving prominent individuals (esp. military leaders, judges, diplomats, professors, and athletes). For ex., Mars/Jupiter conjunction in Virgo (in wide opposition to Neptune in Pisces) on October 23, 2015 coincided with discovery of the Aliso Canyon gas leak (aka Porter Ranch gas blowout) — a massive natural gas leak in the Santa Susana Mountains near Porter Ranch, Los Angeles, CA. It was widely reported to have been the worst single natural gas leak in U.S. history in terms of its environmental impact (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aliso_Canyon_gas_leak). This week, Mars/Jupiter conjunction will be in Aries (and in wide conjunction to Neptune in Pisces).

Mars is associated with upsets, anger, and competitive behavior. It will be strong in its own sign of Aries. When combined with the energy of Jupiter, there may be an excessive outburst of some angry or hot energy manifesting as protests, fires, drought, accidents (due to excessive speed or heat), and increase in risk taking behavior. For the markets, it may bring excessive volatility and larger than usual swings as investors will be more likely to take risks.

Below are some example of the past events that occurred under Mars Jupiter conjunction in Aries (will move to a separate post in the future). The key themes involved heat, sharp objects, and risky/dangerous situations (e.g., a premier of the thriller movie “Jaws” about a man-eating great white shark, killing of Osama bin Laden, and explosions at a gun powder factory). 

MAY 2011

• May 1 — Osama bin Laden, the founder and first leader of the Islamist militant group al-Qaeda, was killed in Pakistan on May 2, 2011, shortly after 1:00 a.m. PKT (20:00 UTC, May 1) by United States Navy SEALs.

JUNE 1975

• June 12 — Judge of the city of Allahabad ruled that India’s Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had used corrupt practices to win her seat in the Indian Parliament, and that she was ineligible for office. Mrs. Gandhi refused to resign.
• June 16 — Japan’s Prime Minister Takeo Miki was punched in the face while attending funeral services for former Japanese Prime Minister Eisaku Satō. 
• June 16 — two firemen killed in a $2 million fire in the newly renovated administration building at Greater Cincinnati Airport
• June 17 — The most powerful sandstorm in the United States in several decades began in the Southern California desert and continued for two days.
• June 19 — Five days before he was scheduled to testify before the U.S. Congress on organized crime, Sam Giancana, a former boss of Chicago mafia, was shot and killed while in the basement of his home in Oak Park, Illinois. 
• June 20 — Jaws, an action film about a white shark terrorizing a resort island, premiered nationwide. Within two weeks, the film would recoup its costs, and by September 5, it would surpass The Godfather as the highest-grossing film in history (until surpassed by Star Wars in 1977).
• June 24 — India’s Prime Minister Indira Gandhi was allowed to keep her office pending a review of her corruption conviction by that nation’s Supreme Court.
• June 26 — In response to calls for the resignation of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the national government arrested 676 of her political opponents. The day before, India’s President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, on Gandhi’s advice, had signed a proclamation for a state of emergency, suspending civil liberties and elections. Civil rights would remain suspended in until January 18, 1977, when new elections would be permitted to take place. 

JAN 1940

• Jan 18 — WALTHAM ABBEY, England: Three violent explosions blew up a part of the Royal Gunpowder Factory twelve miles north of London, killing five workmen and injuring about thirty.

MAY 25, 2021 (WED): Medium influence; market may go up (55%). 

May 25-27, 2022 — Increased market volatility, news about hot weather/drought/fires, and beginning of campaigns involving military, weapons, sports, or some competitive activities (e.g., bidding for something). With Mars transiting into Aries and approaching Jupiter until the exact conjunction this weekend, there may be a shift in the mood from a more patient/softer approach (e.g., in some negotiations) to a more assertive “gloves off” approach. There will likely be a rush of activities or a push to move fast with some initiatives (e.g., appoint a new lead to oversee some military campaign, acquire a new athlete, appoint a coach, etc.). Famous athletes or military leaders may be in the news because of some accomplishments, being first in some category, staring a new project, or because they did something exceptional/brave.

MAY 26, 2021 (TH): Strong influence; market may go down (60-65%). 

Global/USA: May 26-27, 2022 — A large market move, esp. on the 27th,  possibly a drop. Increased news about aggressive financial policies or concerns about the earnings from the U.S. and/or on concerns about intensifying military activities globally. At this time, Venus will square transiting Pluto and the U.S. Pluto (tension, breakdown, or financial losses related to financial manipulation, debt, rates, etc.). Additionally, transiting Mars and Jupiter will conjunct (typically triggers massive market moves, either direction). This conjunction will square U.S. Venus (concerns about finance/profits; aggressive initiatives that affects prices). With Venus, Mars, and Jupiter in Aries on 5/26-27, the news may focus on tings like war, military, weapons, sports, competition, decisive leadership, aggressive new projects [full speed ahead type of vibe], etc. 

MAY 27, 2021 (FR): Strong influence; market may go down (65%). 

SATURDAY evening – early SUNDAY (MAY 28-29) — Mars and Jupiter will form an exact conjunction, while Moon will exactly conjunct North Node (Rahu) around 10:30pm on Sat (NYC time). Also on Saturday, Venus enters Taurus, the sign it rules — this brings more focus on money, value, earnings, currencies, luxury items, jewelry, etc. If some events begin building up on Wed of this week related to military, sports, or competitions, they may culminate or come to a head on Sat evening. Additionally, Saturday may see increased news about fires, accidents, protests, etc. With Moon conjunct North Node in Taurus, the events may involve women, mothers, children, food, security, shelter, etc. The location where the event or events may take place may have Taurus vibes and feature gardens, orchards, parks, “green” locations, and/or places considered to be luxurious or beautiful (e.g., a store that sell fancy clothes, a bank, a wealthy neighborhood, or a beautiful park).

China: Jun 1 – Dec 23, 2022 & Mar 1 – Jun 1, 2023— Many changes, restructuring, regulations, losses, sudden value changes, and surprising developments related to finance, earnings, banks, farming, and real-estate. Also, increased focus on foreign relations, long distance transportation, and profits from international connections/investments. A time of unexpected/sudden changes in these areas that may bring losses or stricter regulations. 

Updated Global/USA: June 28 – July 04, 2022 (esp. June 28 and 30) — Mars in Aries will square Pluto in Capricorn. Expect increased news about violent attacks, anti-governmental protests, accidents involving fires and structural damages, stronger than usual earthquakes, and problems for leaders who are old or inflexible (e.g., a leader or a large established corporation steps aside or is replaced). Aries is associated with military and sports, fast action, taking risks, etc. Capricorn is associated with large corporations, government, structure, limitations, discipline and controls. With Mars and Pluto squaring each other from these two signs, we can expect disagreements between military and governmental leaders, or between coaches in terms of whether to take on a more risky assertive (or aggressive) approach, or, to exercise caution, discipline and proceed slowly. Since Mars will be strong in its own sign of Aries and Pluto will be retrograde at that time, Mars energy may “win.” This favors leaders who are from military background and/or prefer a faster, risker, or more aggressive “full speed ahead” approach. At this time, we may also hear about serious accidents involving athletes (esp. related to fighting, racing, or daredevil/extreme sports) — this is not a good time for risky stunts, like trying to jump over a row of cars on a motorcycle, etc. With Pluto (death, immense power, nuclear weapons, recycling, prisons) being in Capricorn (tall buildings, mountains, large corporation, government, controls), the news about accidents or other upsetting events may involve falling from a height or changing of the top leadership. For ex., an earthquake damages a power plant, a daredevil is hurt in an accident where they jump off of a tall building, a large established corporation welcomes a new leader, a well-known politician resigns, etc.

Update (05.22.22): The transit will likely be felt the most intensely on June 28 (New Moon in Cancer) and on June 30 when Mars, Pluto, and Moon will form  a t-square. The planetary alignments at this time are indicative of a mining accident, a fiery explosion [that causes structural damage], anti-governmental protest, an established corporation announcing leadership change or restructuring, plane crash, notable accident, large earthquake or some other major disaster. Also, since the U.S. is experiencing  an ongoing Pluto return (Pluto going over its place in the natal chart of the country), tense transit from Mars is also going to affect U.S. Pluto. In the U.S. chart, Pluto sits in the 2nd house of banks, finance, currency, earnings, real estate, etc. Expect large market moves and a reversal around June 28-30 (+- few days), possibly up on the 28-29th and down on the 30th. A drop may be triggered by concerns about the U.S. earnings, banks, currency, and so on — like a shakeup in leadership, an upsetting change involving financial policies, an aggressive move to deal with debt, a risky move to improve earnings, an aggressive/upsetting financial policy that affects real estate (probably negatively), etc.

Global: Aug 1, 2022 (+- few days Update (01.17.22): More like July 25 – August 13; one of the worst periods of the year; likely large market drops) — Possible accident, bad weather event, or an industrial disaster involving an airplane or some flying vehicles/objects, electricity, engine, battery, fire, explosion, and excessive speed (where typically slow speed would be expected – such as accelerating too fast or coming to an abrupt stop instead of slowly rolling to a stop). There may also be sudden, surprising, or shocking news involving banks, cryptocurrencies, and finance in general (with focus on digital/on-line solutions). This may involve a sudden cancellation of a project, a business going bankrupt, a company/bank suddenly closing, a valuable asset suddenly sky rocketing or losing all value, a wild swing in the value of some cryptocurrency, a sudden power surge leading to an explosion/fire/power loss, and so on. Lastly, there may be surprising or shocking news involving farming or construction — e.g., a well-known building under construction catches fire, or, production of some food is halted. Update (12.26.21): Weather-wise, this time may see intense tornadoes, storms, and hurricanes triggering massive power and service outages and fires. At the same time, there may be some unexpected announcements affecting financial markets and banks, such as sudden bankruptcies, bank closures, skyrocketing inflation, a currency losing value, etc. Likely, a problematic time for crypto as well — this may be connected to financial policies or developments in China unfolding in July-Aug of 2022 (expect to hear about reorganization, restructuring, reversals in financial policies, sudden financial losses, and so on). Whatever the announcements, things will escalate very quickly [within hours or a few days] and likely contribute to market and crypto volatility. Finally, there may be some exciting announcements about electric vehicles, power plants, aerospace projects, airplanes, and telecoms — either about some super cool, super fast high tech new vehicle, or, about widespread problems/outages/fires.

Update (01.30.22): In late Jul – mid Aug, 2022, Uranus will conjunct North Node of the Moon (Rahu) and Mars; this triple conjunction will be squared by Saturn. This is a volatile combination. Looking back at the events that have occurred under similar transit (Uranus conjunct a Moon Node, either by itself or along with Mars), we can note that events often involved turbulent weather accompanied by high winds and rapid onset, plane crashes, major transportation accidents involving explosions and fires, large earthquakes, and violent attacks. Examples of the events that took place under Uranus North Node transits going back to 1976 are listed in my post, Uranus North Node Conjunction in Taurus — Major Astrological event of 2022.

China: 2022 spring-summer (esp. July-Aug) — Increased probability of significant flooding as well as major accidents and associated financial losses (e.g., due to floods). 

Global: Sep 14 – Oct 30, 2022 (especially in October, in particular Oct 11) — Final pass of Saturn square to Uranus, while Mars+Moon will also square Neptune —> Around Oct 7-15, 2022, expect maritime transportation accidents, fire at an oil rig, oil spill, fighting over oil, anger over oil prices, arguments over oil/gas-related projects, gas leak, chemical incidents, flare up of infectious diseases, concerns about some pharmaceutical, etc. Also, increased risk of a large market drop, esp. around Oct 8-14, 2022.

Global/USA/China/Turkey: Nov 1-11, 2022 (esp. Nov 8, 2022) — Tense time. Increased probability of a large earthquake (esp. for China and Turkey), an industrial accident, plane crash, an airline experiencing problems, or a spike in militarized activities. Total Lunar eclipse will take place on November 8, 2022 and it also happens to be the day when Sun, Moon, and Moon Nodes (Rahu and Ketu) will receive multiple difficult transits. The events occurring around a Lunar (or Solar) eclipse are typically considered of greater than usual importance and continue to have an effect for a few months following the eclipse. In the past, under similar transits in August-September 1999, there was a 7.6 earthquake in Turkey (İzmit earthquake on August 17, 1999) and a 7.7 quake in Taiwan (September 21, 1999). In the US, November 8, 2022 is the date of the midterm elections. Globally, there may be increased market volatility and sudden or surprising announcements or value fluctuations involving currencies, crypto, taxes, rates, loans, debt, banks and financial sector. 

NEW Global: Nov 17-25, 2022 (esp. on Nov 23) — Difficult Mars square Neptune transit. Expect increased market volatility (possibly large drop followed by an up swing), disruptions for the oil/gas industry, arguments over oil/gas, accidents involving oil spills, contamination of a body of water/beverages, attacks on the place of worship, attacks by mentally unstable individuals, spread of some infectious disease, chemical fire, etc. With Mars in Gemini, there may be an increase in the news about traffic accidents causing oil or chemical spills (esp. due to rain, fog, slippery roads, etc.). On Nov 23, there will also be a New Moon in Sagittarius (ruled by Jupiter) and on the same day, Jupiter will turn direct. Taken together, these planetary alignments may coincide with a larger than usual market move and a direction reversal around Nov 23, possibly on the news about oil/gas prices, international agreements, and/or news about infectious diseases. For ex., a travel restriction is lifted or a shipment is allowed to go through thereby reducing the inventory crunch (and lowering the price of related commodities, such as oil, gas, chemicals, etc.). During the last Mars/Neptune square, which occurred around May 15-20, 2022, DJIA dropped 2.9%, and NASDAQ, 3.82%. 

NEW USA: Nov 17-25, 2022 (esp. on Nov 23-24) — Transiting Mars square Neptune (Mars in 21 degree of Gemini, Neptune in 22 degree of Pisces) will form a precise conjunction and opposition (Mars and Neptune, respectively) to the U.S. natal Mars/Neptune square (21 deg Gemini/ 22 deg Virgo). This planetary configuration may bring increased news about military activities, weapons, navy, and assertive or risky actions (taking an assertive stance rather than compromising). At the same, time there will be increased news about oil, gas, chemicals, pharma, beverages, infectious diseases, religion, contamination, drugs, deception, and lies. For ex., there may be concerns about contamination of some beverage, pollution of a body of water, accidents or fires involving navy or maritime transportation, upsets over gas prices, problems with oil production or delivery by sea, news about an uptick of some infectious disease, etc. Because of the heavy Neptunian influence, there may be confusion (Neptune) about actions (Mars) — what to do, when to do it, who did it, where did something go, etc. If some entity is suspected of improper activities (e.g., polluting a body of water by improperly disposing of some chemical), it may be hard to identify the culprit at this time or pinpoint what exactly happened.

ALL WEEK: 

Global: Saturn square Uranus on/off (2021-2022) — Ideological clashes, geopolitical tensions, slow-simmering battle between entities favoring more radical/revolutionary/no limit approach and entities favoring status quo/slow/controlled approach. Scientific advancements in aerospace, IT, high tech, telecoms, etc. but with delays, restrictions, and losses (e.g., a space project suffers a loss, which leads to tighter regulations and innovations to correct the flaw). Also, bad weather involving excessive winds and major disasters, in particular landslides, airplane (or space-technology related) accidents, industrial disasters (a la Deepwater Horizon oil spill), explosions of flammables (e.g., improperly stored fireworks), and ships sinking. The situations will likely unfold very rapidly with little time to spare for rescue/repairs; there will be no time to waste. The times when this transit will be felt the strongest are: Jan 9-22, 2021; Feb 13 – Mar 5, 2021; June 03-25, 2021; Jun 29-July 9, 2021; Dec 15-31, 2021; Sep 14-Oct 30, 2022.

Update (07.18.21): So far in 2021, we experienced a number of disasters during close Saturn/Uranus squares. On Feb 7, 2021, we had a massive rock and glacier avalanche in Uttarkahnd, India, that resulted in a flash flood. Floodwaters washed away the Dhauliganga Dam and left over 200 dead and missing. In late June through mid-July 2021, we had a number of large industrial fires (incl. in Morris, IL; Romania, and Bangladesh), as well as a couple of explosions that involved trucks filled with fireworks in the US (Los Angeles, CA and Ocean City, MD). The biggest disastrous events during the late June/early July transit were the tragic building collapse in Surfside, FL and an assassination of the Haitian President Jovenel Moise. The next set of dates when we can expect a similarly tense/dangerous period is the second half of Dec 2021. In particular, Dec 15 (+- couple of days) may see a notable accident or disaster as in addition to the Saturn/Uranus square we will have transiting Mars passing over the South Node of the Moon. In general, when Mars (or Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and/or Chiron) form a tense aspect to one of the Moon Nodes, we see a notable event (often an accident, earthquake, or some industrial disaster) that affects a large group of people (either directly or indirectly, such as through coverage in the news). 

Global: May 13 – Jul 27, 2021; Dec 29, 2021 – May 10, 2022 — Starting on May 13, Jupiter will enter Pisces where it will remain until Jul 27, 2021; it will then retrograde into Aquarius for a few months, and then return to Pisces from Dec 29, 2021 – May 10, 2022. Jupiter in Pisces will likely correspond to improved conditions for the areas above and/or expansion of the related projects (e.g., a greater variety of beverages, increased popularity of audio-visual equipment, improved movie sales, greater interest in swimming/fishing/going on cruises/etc., abundance of oil, increased focus on religion, increased floods, etc.). Other manifestations include increased volume of maritime transport, increased legal regulations of maritime transport/shipping/swimming/water usage/etc., spikes in infectious diseases but also enhanced abilities to treat the issues, increase in smuggling of drugs, increased drug or pharmaceutical usage/application/spread (e.g., a shipping container with some chemical is lost at sea and contaminates the water), and so on. 

Global: April 14 – May 24, 2022 — Mars in Pisces — On April 14, transiting Mars will switch signs and enter Pisces. This will bring the number of planets in Pisces to 4 (Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Neptune) for the next few weeks (April 14 – May 2, 2022). Expect increased news about related areas, incl. oil, gas, chemicals, pharma, floods, infectious diseases, drugs, deceptive activities, etc. Mars in Pisces may bring focus on fighting over related resources, upsets or disagreements over related projects, and increased accidents or attacks in the related domains (e.g., fighting over oil or gas deliveries, disagreements over the value of some chemicals, maritime accidents, oil spills, fires involving oil refineries/ships/ports, volcanic activities near a body of water or under water, etc.). The probability of a dangerous situation, fighting, or an eruption (e.g., a fire at an oil rig, an attack on oil refinery, an underwater volcanic eruption, infectious disease spike, attack on or by mentally unstable individual, etc.) will peak around May 15-20, 2022 when Mars Neptune conjunction in Pisces is the closest.

GOLD/SILVER /  USA: May-early July, 2022 but even more so in Jan-Feb 2023 — The value of gold (and possibly silver) may rise slightly around May-early July of 2022 (esp. in the early June) and even more so in Jan-Feb of 2023. This may be related to the news about U.S. fiscal policies, fluctuations in the value of USD, concerns about the stability of U.S. financial institutions and/or financial losses/restrictions (related to rates, debt, fees, loans, insurance, etc.). Alternatively, in May-July 2022 we may see a preview or initial stages of some policies that will culminate/take effect in Jan-Feb 2023. These policies may involve restrictions on what is recognized as a legal tender, what can or cannot be used to pay for goods, how online retailers can conduct their payment transactions, what and how can be accepted as a payment (esp. online), what is a currency (or is officially recognized as “money”), etc. These policies (which may involve restructuring of the Federal Reserve and financial system, regulation of the use of gold and silver, implementation of some new financial instruments to control the dollar’s value, etc.) may affect the value of USD as well as the relative value of gold and/or silver (possibly drive gold and/or silver up).

USA: April 2022 – April 2023 — Increased focus on real estate, mortgages, loans, savings, bank assets, farming, land ownership, security of the food supply, and homeland security. Jupiter (laws, expansion) will transit through the 4th house of bank assets, savings, real estate, land, farming, etc. in US natal chart from mid April 2022 until late April 2023. At that time, the inventory of available real estate may increase and new laws affecting real estate prices and availability may be passed (e.g., tax reforms or acts that ensure fair treatment of buyers/renters). In late May 2022, Neptune will also enter the 4th house of the US chart, which will further increase focus on banks’ assets, real estate, property/land ownership, etc. Initially, prices may increase or there may be a rush to complete related projects (e.g., offload inventory or buy a house) before the new regulations kick in, followed by concerns about the “flood” of inventory and/or mortgages “under water.” Previously, when Jupiter entered US 4th house back in May of 2010, new home sales plummeted after surging in March and April, because of the concerns about the expiration of the homebuyer tax credit. At another time as Jupiter was entering US 4th house (1986-87), the Tax reform Act of 1986 was passed, which apparently contributed to the distress in the real estate industry. “The Act phased out many investment incentives for rental housing… It also discouraged real estate investing by eliminating the deduction for passive losses.” (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tax_Reform_Act_of_1986)

USA/France: Nov 2021 – June 2022 — AUKUS (a trilateral security pact between Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, announced on 15 September 2021) – On Sep 15, 2021 Sun/Neptune opposition squared France’s Saturn in the 9th house in Sagittarius (difficulties and confusion in international relationships). At the same time, Sun passed over Neptune (navy) in the US chart, while transiting Neptune opposed US Neptune; the Sun/Neptune transiting opposition squared US Mars (military). In general, France’s Saturn (responsibility, losses, difficulties) opposes US Mars (action, military). Also, the North Node of the Moon conjuncted France’s North Node within minutes on the day of the announcement. Moreover, the Nodes turned Rx on 9-13-21 indicting a reversal in some important direction. Transits by and to Moon Nodes occur during events that affect large groups of people and have widespread effect. The France’s (and currently transiting) Nodes are in Gemini (NN) and Sagittarius (SN) indicating focus  on transportation / communication / commerce / laws /international relations / immigration.

Transiting Neptune (navy, confusion, deception, water, chemicals, pharma, contamination, etc.) will continue to hover around the same degrees of Prices (20-25) for months. This means that issues in the areas above (navy as well as any other Neptunian areas) that first came up in mid-Sep 2021 could drag on through the spring – early summer of 2022. Periodically, as faster planets, incl. Sun and Mars, form difficult aspects to these same degrees (conjunction, square or opposition), there may be increased tensions and/or  follow up developments. In particular, for France early Nov, 2021 (esp. Nov 3-6, 2021 +-1 week) look tense — Neptune will square France’s Saturn while Mars will be going over France’s Jupiter and Neptune (assertive actions involving international partners, disputes related to navy, great hopes, promise of [almost unlimited] expansion, arguments over legal issues, passing new laws in a hurry). After that, the following time periods may bring additional developments related to Neptunian domains, incl. navy (for France and/or US): Dec 2021 (esp. 7-9, 11-17, 25-31), Jan 10-18, 2022; March 1-13, 2022; March 23 –  Apr 30, 2022 (esp. Apr 4-5); May 11-19, 2022; June 10-17, 2022. 

USA & Global: For the US, Aug, 2021 – Feb, 2024 (esp. +- 1-2 weeks around Mar 1, 2022, +- 1-2 weeks around Aug 1, 2022, Nov 2022 – mid Jan 2023, +- 1-2 weeks around Apr 1, 2023, Jul-Aug 2023, Oct-Nov 2023) — General themes of confusion or miscommunication related to military, leadership, sports, stock markets and any risky activities (gambling, racing, fighting, etc.) will persist as transiting Neptune will continue to make difficult aspects to the US Mars, Neptune, and then enter into the 4th house (homeland security, food supply, safety, stability, farming, land, real estate, banks’ assets, savings, etc.). Difficult transits of Neptune are generally associated with excessive precipitation, pollution, confusion, deception, and lack of clarity. For the US, Neptune’s transit may bring, among other things, excessive flooding, problems with chemicals (e.g., misuse of fertilizers, water supply pollution, etc.), problems with misuse of medicines/drugs (rise in addictions?), real estate problems (flood damage, soil erosion, contamination, mortgages “underwater,” entities re-defining zones or some geographical/administrative units, etc.), concerns about some banks engaging in deceptive practices, and problems for oil industry (lack of clear direction, pollution, spills). 

During the same time frame, the US will experience a slowly unfolding Pluto return as well as an opposition of the transiting Pluto the US Mercury (in the 8th house of investments/rates, ruling the 7th and 10th houses of partnerships and leadership, respectively). In the US chart, Pluto is in the 2nd house of banks/money and rules the 12th house of secrets, endings, hidden places, navy, oil, damp/wet places, hospitals, elder care facilities, etc. Difficult transits of Pluto are associated with the revelation of secrets, spying, unearthing previously buried things (can be literally like excavating something and burying it elsewhere), scandals, violent attacks, power struggles, power changing hands, changes in how the power is generated/used (e.g., by power plants, powerful corporations, governmental structures, individual leaders, etc.), and the overall destruction of some old ways to rebuild from the scratch (police reform? governmental changes?). 

In the summer and fall of 2023, there will be a few difficult transits, for the US and globally, indicative of major industrial accidents, disasters (e.g., fires, plane crashes, shipwrecks, etc.), bad weather events (e.g., major storms), earthquakes, violent attacks or military coups (esp. July-Aug and Oct-Nov 2023, in particular around July 31, Aug 13, Aug 21, Oct 4, and Nov 11). In 2023, during these same time periods (Jul-Aug and Oct-Nov), there may be increased activities or problems involving recycling facilities, mines, underground storage, power plants and especially nuclear power plants/weapons (e.g., a large storm causes a flood and a temporary shutdown of a nuclear plant).  

Update (10.10.21): As a part of the ongoing transit of Pluto to US Mercury — Increased focus on negotiations, deals, contracts, commerce, transportation, communication, and education. The effect of the transit may manifest as negotiations that involve manipulations, power plays, extortions, or some other underhanded activities. Alternatively, the negotiations and deals may involve underground or hidden locations (e.g., mines, underground storage, tunnels, caves, cemeteries, prisons) and companies that generate power or clean up trash (esp. nuclear power plants and recycling plants). The news about companies in these areas may involve hidden/secret plans, taxation, insurance fraud, or pollution (e.g., a company is suspected of hiding evidence of environmental pollution, some entity engages in blackmailing or tax avoidance). Since Pluto/Mercury opposition activates 2nd and 8th houses in the US chart, issues related to finance, banks, earnings, taxes, insurance, rates, currency value, etc. may all come up — again, there may be concerns about hidden or manipulative activities. 

Pluto is also associated with debt and default — difficult transits to US Mercury and Pluto may manifest as a large company or even utility defaulting, declaring bankruptcy, going under etc. in the related areas, inlc. Plutonian domains, such as power plants (esp. related to nuclear power), recycling facilities, trash removal facilities, facilities responsible for storing trash, morgues, prisons; and Mercurial domains, such as communication and transportation companies, rental car companies, car manufacturers, social media companies, airlines, payment processors, retail stores, and so on. For ex., when transiting Pluto squared US Pluto back in July 1983, the largest municipal bond default in U.S. history took place when the Washington Public Power Supply System defaulted on $2.25 billion in bonds (https://www.historylink.org/file/5482). WPPSS financed the construction of five nuclear power plants by issuing billions of dollars in municipal bonds in the 1970s and 1980s. In 1983, because of extremely poor project management, construction on some plants was canceled, and completion of the remaining plants seemed unlikely. Consequently, the take-or-pay arrangements that had been backing the municipal bonds were ruled void by the Washington State Supreme Court. Finally, in the US we can expect major financial reforms affecting banking system (esp. in 2022), USD value, banks’ stability, electronic payments, banking structure, FDIC, mortgage rates, taxes, insurance, etc. In particular, there may be some adjustments involving Federal Reserve System. When transiting Pluto opposed US Pluto in 1935, the Banking Act of 1935 was passed and was signed into law by the president, Franklin D. Roosevelt. The Act changed the structure and power distribution in the Federal Reserve System that began with the Banking Act of 1933. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banking_Act_of_1935) Under the conjunction of transiting Pluto to US Pluto (2021-2024, esp. 2022-23), we can again expect similar developments — possibly some updates to the regulations that were initially signed into law in 1935, or, some new regulations affecting central control of the monetary system. This may be done to simply improve economic stability, but it may also be necessary to address some financial concerns. In particular, Aug 1, 2022 (+- a couple of days) may be a time of unpleasant surprises involving financial institutions, banks as well as airlines, telecoms, IT, and social media companies — an entity may declare bankruptcy, abruptly cancel some projects, experience major service disruptions, and so on. This will likely be accompanied by significant volatility in the value of currencies and/or cryptocurrencies. The situation may unfold much quicker than expected and come as a shock. On Aug 1, 2022, Mars and Uranus will conjunct North Node in Taurus = lightening strike, electric shock, fire, explosion, construction site, bank, financial institution, currency = likely, a shake-up involving a bank or currency. Uranus also involves airlines, electric cars, electronic gadgets, social media, electronic payments, aerospace, etc. — these areas may also experience some sudden problems, either independently (e.g., a bad storm causes a prolonged power outage) or in relation to some financial issue (e.g., default, financial policy changes, currency volatility, etc.).   

China: Aug 2 – Oct 8, 2021; Apr 18 – May 24, 2022; Dec 5, 2022 – Mar 11, 2023 — Increased focus on international relations and partnerships, esp. those that involve military and weapons deals or sports. Some surprising deals may be reached, agreements with unusual partners may be entered into, old agreements may suddenly be broken, and in general, there may be many surprises. Additionally, there may be increased focus on sports, communication, and transportation — these areas may see sudden changes and innovations, but there may also be an increased number of accidents, service outages (esp. due to sudden fires/explosions), and abrupt turn-abouts (e.g., a partner is added and then  suddenly dropped, a leader is promoted and then suddenly removed). 

Haiti: Aug 2021 – Sep 2022 — A series of difficult transits may bring problems for the country in the form of sudden upsetting events (e.g., quakes or bad storms). During this time, the country may undergo a process of re-birth of some sort where a previous established order is replaced with a new one. In particular, there may be earthquakes and problems with power losses. At the same time, power plants and/or networks of all sorts as well as airport facilities can be rebuilt or significantly revamped — this may be a planned improvement or as a response to some damaging event. In Aug-Oct 2021, Uranus (sudden jolts, accidents, electricity, airports, networks, power loss) is tightly square the country’s Moon Nodes (wide spread meaningful events affecting public), while at the same time transiting Moon Nodes will square the country’s Pluto (death/rebirth, major transformation, massive power, power plants, power struggles, mining, underground, recycling [turning old trash into valuable power source]). In 2022, several more time periods will see inauspicious transits to the country’s chart (mainly to Pluto, Nodes, Mars, Saturn, and/or Neptune): the end of Jan, early Mar, late Mar, April to May, mid to late Sep. At this times, there is an increased chance of a bad weather event, power losses, power struggles, or some major reforms to improve infrastructure/build a new power plant/open a new recycling facility/etc.

OIL: The dates below may see important news related to oil, gas, chemicals, infectious diseases/pandemic, transportation over water (incl. oil tankers), transportation or storage of liquids (incl. oil, gas, and various chemicals), water pollution, oil pipeline damage, oil leaks, oil transportation challenges, etc. For example — flu outbreak affects travel, which in turn affects oil prices; hurricane or floods impact oil and gas production, refining, or delivery; oil or chemical spill pollutes a body of water and the responsible party’s stock goes down; oil prices rise on the news of oil transportation being delayed; oil prices drop on pandemic concerns; etc. This is a look at a glance and subject to adjustments as I do additional research. Updates will be highlighted and dated.

2022

• Dec 29, 2021 – May 10, 2022; Oct 28 – Dec 20, 2022 — Jupiter in Pisces; the period should generally correspond to the increase in oil and gas prices. This period will likely also bring excessive precipitation, significant floods, and expansion of activities and projects related to navy, ships, chemicals, drugs, and medicines. 
• Apr 4-12, 2022 (+- few weeks) — Possible major floods, large-scale oil leaks, flu epidemic or some other infectious disease outbreak, also, an oil price drop due to oil glut. Oil price may go up in the weeks prior to April 2022, peak around early-to- mid April and go down, possibly on concerns about a surplus of excess oil. There may also be concerns about an excessive number of vessels used for floating oil storage along with increased news about bad weather — taken together, this will increase the probability of an oil spill and other problems, esp. in late Mar to May, 2022.
• Update (04.24.22): Apr 26-28, 2022 (esp. the 27th) — Venus conjunct Neptune in Pisces — Strong focus on the value of and profits from oil, gas, chemicals, etc. We may hear about new sales, deals, or contracts. The price of oil and gas may go up (esp. on 26-27). We may see an inverted V pattern with the price rising on the 26-27 and reversing to down on the 27-28 on the news of some agreement/sale. 
• Update (04.24.22): April 28-29, 2022 — Venus Jupiter conjunction in Pisces — The price of oil (incl. plant-based and animal-fat-based) and gas may go up. 
• Update (04.17.22): May 15-20, 2022 — Mars will conjunct Neptune in Pisces — Increased and likely upsetting news about oil and gas prices. There may be a drop in oil and/or gas prices on concerns about disrupted travel (e.g., due to lock-downs) or disagreements about the production, delivery, or contracts related to oil and gas. Additionally, there may be increased anger and fighting over related projects (e.g., drilling, pipelines, delivery, sales, etc.). There may even be an attack on or a fire at a facility that processes oil, gas, chemicals, or manufactures petroleum-based products. Update (05.01.22): During two recent Mars Neptune conjunctions, in Dec/Jan 2016-2017 and Dec 2018, OPEC announced oil production cuts. I see that OPEC+ is set to meet on May 5, 2022 and, according to Reuters, it is expected to “stick to its existing deal and agree another small output increase for June” (https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/opec-likely-agree-another-oil-output-increase-june-sources-say-2022-04-28/). Under Mars Neptune conjunction, an agreement may be hard to reach at this time. There will likely be disagreements or even fights (Mars) about oil-related issues (Neptune), possibly over concerns about the resurgence of COVID-19 (Neptune) in China. Additionally, Jupiter (abundance, fat, easy going, long distance shipping) will move from Pisces (oil, gas, water, pharma, chemicals, navy) to Aries on May 11, 2022 — this indicates changes in supplies or availability of Neptunian products (incl. oil and gas), such as a reduction in inventory or less favorable conditions for shipping goods internationally (esp. by water). Since Aries rules things like sports, competition, weapons, wars, heat, fire, and surgery, Jupiter (abundance) transiting through Aries is expected to facilitate the expansion of related projects (e.g., hotter than usual summer dries up water supply, weapons sales increase, new surgical procedures are developed, many coaches or athletes take on new roles, etc.).

2025

Likely, a major reversal point for the oil prices (a new multi-year trend will likely begin).

Generally, increased focus on Neptunian matters (incl. oil price, oil spills, water pollution, clean water shortage, maritime accidents, pandemics, biowarfare, etc.) the entire year with periods of heightened risk for accidents and disasters. For ex., around Feb 1, 2025 could be one such disaster and it may result in a major oil price reversal. Apr 25, 2025 looks bad too… danger of an accident or disaster. Jul 21, 2025 may see some public event or announcement related to oil etc. and this event/news may elicit anger (e.g., the magnitude of pollution is covered up, the responsible party’s fine is deemed too low, some important details are obscured in a report, etc.). Aug 12, 2025 also looks tense. There may be multiple accidents/disasters/epidemic waves throughout the year; alternatively, one large disaster strikes early in 2025 (and/or a pandemic begins) and the rest of the year is spent on cleanup, restoration, repairs, and healing.
