Astrology Predictions for October 2022 with Important Dates for the Stock Market based on Financial Astrology. Saturn square Uranus and Mars square Neptune around Full Moon on October 9, 2022 — Market Crash?

OVERVIEW of the tense period of October 3-17, 2022:

Global/OIL: October 3-17 is one of the more tense periods in 2022. There are several tense transits, which typically coincide with major market drops, disasters, technology breakdowns, stressful corporate announcements (e.g., about restructuring or sudden leadership change), troubles for established leaders/officials ( esp. from government or large corporations), increased geopolitical tensions, economic problems, and accidents. In particular, we may hear about major earthquakes, storms, attacks, fighting, fires, or accidents involving oil, gas, chemicals, pollution, navy, drugs, mental imbalances, delusions, poisons, seafood, marine life, seaside location, etc. Possible manifestations include a major quake involving a location that is near a body of water or under water (e.g., an island or an underwater volcano), oil spills, gas leaks, accidents involving boiling water, maritime accidents, attacks by individuals who are mentally unstable/under influence of some substance, water pollution, chemical spills, and fires/dangerous events at Neptunian locations (e.g., marina, port, ship, submarine, underwater tunnel, underwater volcano, hospital, movie theater, concert hall, prison, biomedical lab, pharmacy, chemical plant, seaside location, island, etc.). We may hear about major disputes and even fighting over oil and gas prices, which may go down on Oct 7-10 and reverse to up on Oct 11 when some relevant deal is reached or a law is passed.

China: October 9 is Full Moon (Sun/Moon opposition), which will fall exactly on the Nodal axis in the chart of China (activating 2nd and 8th houses of finance, loans, currency, debt, etc.). With transiting Sun and Venus also triggering China’s Mercury and Neptune (commercial activity, communication, transportation, oil, gas, chemicals, pharma, navy, etc.), we may expect that the events or agreements that take place at that time may involve China in some way, possibly through some financial policy announcements or increased commercial activity. Moreover, Saturn and Uranus will form a fairly tight grand square with China’s Pluto in the 7th house of partners (ruler of the 10th house of leadership, status in the world) and China’s Venus in the 10th house (ruler of the 4th house of motherland, banks, real estate). These transits are indicative of tensions in international relations, changes in partnership agreements, changes in power structures, financial losses, financial policy changes, difficult situations involving banks/real estate, etc. With Uranus (sudden change, shock) opposing China’s Venus (money, luxury, currency), there may be sudden, shocking, abrupt changes affecting currency value or financial policies. Changes may come sooner than expected, involve an unexpected twist, or reach a more extreme extent than expected. Uranus also rules all things involving networks, electricity, digital, social media, smart technologies, aerospace, etc. — thus, there may be some surprising developments (e.g.,larger than expected gains or losses, unexpected start or stop of some related projects, sudden change in value, etc.) in related areas. For ex., a new e-vehicle factory is announced unexpectedly or an existing one is shut down, a digital currency is introduced or cancelled, and so on.

WEEK OF OCT 3

Market direction prediction (DJIA and NASDAQ):

  • Mon 10/3 — Down
  • Tue 10/4 —  Down
  • Wed 10/5 — Down
  • Th 10/6 — Up
  • Fr 10/7 —Down

Key dates:

  • October 3-17 — Increased news about disruptions involving oil, gas, navy, pharmaceuticals, and transportation by sea. Increased likelihood of accidents and disasters (quakes, storms, plane crashes), esp. on Oct 8-11. Oct 7-12 may see a large market drop. This could be a bottom on a medium scale (months) after which the market slowly climb up.
  • Mon, Oct 3 — For the U.S.: Concerns about inflation, excessive costs, imbalanced expenditures vs. earnings, etc. may bring down the market. In particular, there may be concerns about the value of food and/or luxury items (e.g., reports of losses by upscale restaurants).
  • Wed-Thur, Oct 5-6 — For the U.S.: Negative news coverage of leaders or celebrities in the news; concerns about the stock market, debt, rates, etc. The influence is stronger on Wed and early Thur morning; it will dissipate by Thur afternoon and market direction may change from down in the morning to up by the afternoon.
  • All week —  For the U.S.: Increased news about oil, gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, navy, seafood, maritime transportation, beverages, water pollution, etc. The news may be negative or concerning (e.g., about water contamination, arguments over oil/beverages/seafood/pharma/etc. prices, accidents involving ships, unfavorable results for pharma studies, spike in some infectious diseases, etc.)
  • Sat-Sun, Oct 8-9 (Full Moon) — Full Moon in Libra may bring focus on relationships, agreements and issues of fairness (e.g., which entity should pay for what expense, are earnings and costs fairly distributed, who deserves more, who should contribute more, etc.) Similarly, there may be increased focus on judgments, lawsuits, and verdicts — some important lawsuit or legal decision may be in the news. With Full Moon symbolizing peak effort or culmination of efforts, activities or projects that began at New Moon on September 25 may culminate in some significant decisions or events. Full Moon may also bring increased emotional awareness, which can manifest as a stronger than usual emotional reaction — in this case (Full Moon in Libra) — to injustice, unfair treatment, imbalanced contributions, unequal pay, etc. This may lead to some protests or disputes, which would make it harder to reach a settlement, enter into an agreement, etc. If a contract is signed at this time, it may elicit strong emotional reaction and be seen as unfair to one of the sides.

Noteworthy transits:

  • Mercury (retrograde and direct) opposes Neptune (Sep 29 – Oct 04); Mercury turns direct on Oct 2 (ET) — Increased focus on commercial activity and transportation of oil, gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, etc.  as well as maritime transportation in general. Opposition indicates problems, accidents, spills, delays, miscommunication, disagreements, and confusing situations (e.g., due to rainy or foggy weather, unclear contract terms, details missing or being intentionally obscured, etc.). If negotiations take place at this time, their direction may reverse when Mercury goes direct on Oct 2 (e.g., if an agreement was stuck, it may finally move forward or be permanently scrapped on Oct 1-2). Similarly, if a ship or some vehicle is stuck at this time, the transit may resume when Mercury turns direct.
  • Mars conjuncts U.S. Mars and squares U.S. Neptune (Oct 1-12) — For the U.S.: Increased focus on military, fighting, sports (esp. fighting, racing, and water sports), weapons, as well as oil, gas, pharma, chemicals, navy, water pollution, and any maritime activities. Mars conjunct Mars indicates enhanced activities in Martian domains (e.g., military, sports, firefighting, surgeries, etc.) and may coincide with a beginning of new 2.1 year-long (Mars orbital period) project, such as a weapons contract or a sports facility contract. Difficult transit (square) of Mars to Neptune indicates some confusion about which direction the activities should take, mis-timed activity, or activity that happens under some confusing circumstances (e.g., fog causes a maritime accident). In any case, there may be uncertainty or confusion about related activities (e.g., policies that affect oil/gas/pharma/chemical industries, clean up of areas damaged by water, containment of contaminated water, ensuring clean water supply, maritime transportation, etc.) and this may manifest as anxiety among investors, which can in turn bring down the markets.
  • Venus and Jupiter retrograde oppose each other and square Venus and Jupiter in U.S. chart (Oct 3-4) — For the U.S.: Excessive spending, concerns about spending vs. earning, expansion beyond means, over-paying, excessive optimism [about earnings or something being valuable] that may not be justified, inflation, rising costs, imbalanced distribution of earnings, etc. With U.S. Venus and Jupiter in Cancer (food, homeland, security, real estate, banks’ assets), issues may related to high costs associated with food, farming, land, real estate, bank fees/rates, etc.
  • Sun squares Sun in U.S. chart (Oct 5-6) — For the U.S.: Problems or negative news pertaining to leaders or prominent individuals. Concerns about the matters of the houses where Sun resides and rules (8th and 5th), which relate to taxes, debt, insurance, rates, loans, as well as stock market and gambling. Those areas may see increased negative news coverage or a negative report, but this is a short-lived influence.
  • Mars squares Neptune retrograde (Oct 5-19) — Increased focus on military, fighting, sports (esp. fighting, racing, and water sports), weapons, as well as oil, gas, pharma, chemicals, navy, water pollution, and any maritime activities. Difficult transit (square) of Mars to Neptune will be exact on Oct 10-11 and may correspond with a large market drop. This aspect indicates confusion about which direction the activities should take, mis-timed activity, or activity that happens under some confusing circumstances (e.g., a drunk or mentally unstable individual starts a fire). Some problematic manifestations of this aspect may include attacks by mentally ill individuals, gas leaks that catch fire, fires/explosions that involve chemicals (e.g., accident at a chemical plant), attacks on oil refineries, oil spills, spills of contaminated water, maritime accidents, etc. In general, Mars square Neptune indicates losses or damages to Neptunian domains (e.g., hospital, marina, chemical processing plant) from a Martian domain (e.g., fire, attack, accident). Neptune typically brings confusion, so if there is an accident, it may be difficult to exactly determine the cause as some activities may be hidden or obscured (e.g., literally under water). With Satun Uranus square being almost precise at the same time, Mars Neptune square may also manifest as an underwater volcano explosion or an accident that is associated with structural damage and boiling or steaming water/liquid/gas.
  • Full Moon with Sun in Libra opposite Moon in Aries (Oct 09) — Increased news about lawsuits, negotiations, contracts, sales, etc. Agreements reached at this time may be seen as imbalanced and unfair to one or more parties. Strong feelings about some injustice may trigger protests. Also, perception of an imbalanced deal may exacerbate concerns about the market recovery and increases the probability of a major drop on Monday, October 10.
  • Uranus retrograde squares Saturn retrograde (Sep-Nov; peaks around Oct 11) — Global geopolitical tensions, bad for old persons in power, sudden upsets for governmental leaders or leaders of large corporations; increased chance of large quakes, plane crashes and other disasters. Typical disasters under Saturn/Uranus tense aspects manifest as heavy object(s) made of rock/metal/ice/mud falling from a great hight; situations may cause significant damage to structures. Unfavorable for industries involving IT, aerospace, telecoms, power/electric grids, and cryptocurrencies (e.g., reduced value, diminished funding, slow progress, breakdowns, delays, etc.). Charts of Turkey and China/Taiwan receive difficult aspects at this time and may be at higher risk of some disaster (e.g., a significant quake).

WEEK OF OCT 10

Market direction prediction (DJIA and NASDAQ):

  • Mon 10/10 — Down
  • Tue 10/11 — Down
  • Wed 10/12 — Down
  • Th 10/13 — Down
  • Fr 10/14 — Down

Key dates:

  • All week, esp. Mon-Tue October 10-11 — Expect significant events, incl. geopolitical tensions, disasters, accidents, earthquakes, etc. With multiple difficult transits, there is an increased chance of a multi-faceted issue or multiple disasters occurring at the same time. The situation may involve shaking or shifting ground; structural damage due to tsunami or water erosion or eruption underwater; and, problems for communication/transportation (e.g., delayed shipments and travel, unsuccessful negotiations, social media outage, etc.). The market may experience a major drop; cryptocurrencies may drop at the same time (possibly on some financial news out of China). The good news is that this may [finally] be a bottom on a medium time scale (months) and the market may turn to up and perform better starting the following week for the next few months.
  • All week, esp. Mon-Tue October 10-11 — Difficult transits to China’s astro chart (see above) indicate stressful news related to earnings, banks, currency, real estate, etc. We may also hear about financial policy changes, which may be unexpected or more extreme than expected. There are multiple exact transits to the astro chart of China indicative of important announcements related to rates, banks, tariffs, debt, etc. This announcement may be perceive as confusing, vague, or anxiety-provoking because of the lack of clarity or some uncertainty.
  • Mon-Wed, Oct 10-12 — For the U.S.: Increased news about oil, gas, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, navy, seafood, maritime transportation, beverages, water pollution, etc. The news may be negative or concerning (e.g., about water contamination, arguments over oil/beverages/seafood/pharma/etc. prices, accidents involving ships, unfavorable results for pharma studies, spike in some infectious diseases, etc.)

Noteworthy transits:

  • Mars conjuncts U.S. Mars and squares U.S. Neptune (Oct 1-12) — Increased focus on military, fighting, sports (esp. fighting, racing, and water sports), weapons, as well as oil, gas, pharma, chemicals, navy, water pollution, and any maritime activities.
With Saturn Uranus square being almost precise at the same time, Mars Neptune square may also manifest as an underwater volcano explosion or an accident that is associated with structural damage and boiling or steaming water/liquid/gas.
  • Mercury opposes Jupiter retrograde (Oct 10-12) — Increased news about communication and transportation industries, incl. important negotiations and deals. There may be news about follow up actions or consequences from a deal or discussion reached on Sep 17-19 when Mercury retrograde oppose Jupiter. Negotiations or a contract from Sep 17-19 may be re-evaluated, revised or finalized on Oct 10-12. A deal may is more likely to be reached at this time as Mercury has turned direct, but there may still be a sense of imbalance or unfairness with parties disagreeing about some ethical or moral issue (i.e., some agreement  clause may be seen as unfair). Negotiations may involve international communication and transportation (e.g., legal requirements for selling/transporting goods or people). Given that the week of Oct 10 has many tense transits occurring at the same time, it is likely that this finalized/updated agreement will result in significant events or will have long-lasting impact.

WEEK OF OCT 17

Market direction prediction (DJIA and NASDAQ):

  • Mon 10/17 — Down
  • Tue 10/18 —  Up
  • Wed 10/19 — Up
  • Th 10/20 — Down
  • Fr 10/21 — Up

Key dates:

  • Mon-Tue, Oct 17-18 — Increased focus on the financial policies in the U.S.; some change may be announced or an existing policy may be clarified. The announcement may be slightly stressful and elicit concerns about real estate or banks’ assets.
  • Tue-Wed, Oct 18-20 — Improved outlook and optimism regarding communication/transportation businesses, commerce, and retail sales. Positive news about the increased earnings from or higher value of cars, air travel, communication equipment, tech gadgets, etc. In particular, apps or services related to dating or marriage may do well. A good day to achieve a positive outcome in negotiations — if there are ongoing negotiations, a contract or an agreement is more likely to be signed at this time (esp. on Oct 19-20). For China, if some deal is reached on Oct 20, it may be missing some important detail or may be perceived as too vague (intentionally or not); alternatively, the deal may be related to navy or oil/gas.
  • Fo the U.S., starting this week and continuing for a few months, Mars will square Midheaven — Expect increased focus on leaders and assertive actions that aim to ensure favorable status on the world arena as well as security at home (incl. food, shelter, etc.). Also, assertive actions to protect or support businesses related to agriculture, food production, real estate, banks’ investments, etc. to ensure stability and security of assets.
  • Fr, Oct 21 — For China: We may hear follow up news about financial policies, commerce, rates, debt, currencies, etc. that clarify or add to financial policy announcements made the prior week.

Noteworthy transits:

With Saturn Uranus square being almost precise at the same time, Mars Neptune square may also manifest as an underwater volcano explosion or an accident that is associated with structural damage and boiling or steaming water/liquid/gas.
  • Sun, Moon, and Pluto will t-squares U.S. Pluto in the 2nd house of finance/currency (Oct 17-18) — Increased focus on financial policies, rates, debt, mortgages, real estate and banks’ assets. We may hear an announcement about a change in some policy(-ies) or a new policy, which may receive a mixed reaction. The mixed reaction may because the announced initiative could be seen by some as a compromise and not sufficiently bold/aggressive.
  • Sun conjuncts Venus and both trine Mars; Mercury squares U.S. Sun and conjuncts China’s Mercury and Neptune (Oct 18-19) — Beneficial energy of the trine in air signs (Libra and Gemini) may boost earnings or funding for businesses related to communication/transportation, retail, education, social media, etc. With Sun and Venus both in Libra (sign of marriage or partnerships) receiving a beneficial energizing trine aspect from Mars, we may hear about new dating apps, existing dating apps doing better than expected, and/or about improved outlook for businesses that offer services related to dating/marriage (e.g., bridal gowns, catering, etc.).
  • Sun conjuncts Venus and both square Pluto (Oct 19-20) — Increased focus on loans, debt, rates, insurance, taxes, tariffs, etc. We may hear about more loans granted or about additional expenditures that make it harder to pay off debt. There may be some arguments about spending or deals (e.g., what is necessity and what is a luxury, who deserves extra funding and who doesn’t, what is a fair deal, etc.). Concerns about overspending or about high expenses may bring the market down on Oct 20.
  • Mercury conjuncts South Node in China’s chart in the 8th house of debt, rates, loans, tariffs, etc. (Oct 21) — Increased focus on financial products, services, rates, currencies, etc. Details of recent announcements (expected the week of Oct 3 or Oct 10) may be specified or adjusted (e.g., the exact rate or fee, etc.).
  • Mars square MC/IC axis (cusps of the 10th and 4th houses) in the U.S. chart (Oct 17 – Nov 11, 2022;  March 11-19, 2023 ) — Increased focus on leadership, status on the world arena as well as on issues related to farming, food manufacturing, land, real estate, banks’ assets, homeland, safety, and security. Mars symbolizes assertive actions and “full speed ahead” type of attitude, so we may hear about new initiatives to ensure the areas above are performing well at this time. The square aspect is a difficult aspect, so it may manifest as overdoing things, going too hard, too fast, or taking unnecessary risks — a few eggs may be broken while making an omelette so to speak. When Mars goes retrograde (Oct 30, 2023 to Jan 11, 2023), the activities may slow down or there may be a period of re-assessment and adjustment of strategies. As Mars turns direct and squares the MC/IC  again in March of 2023, issues that started in Oct of 2022 will likely re-emerge or projects may be finalized, revised, or adjusted. For ex., an initial contract signed in October 2022 goes into effect in March 2023, or, a contract made in October 2022 is delivered in March 2023.

WEEK OF OCT 24

Market direction prediction (DJIA and NASDAQ):

  • Mon 10/24 — Up
  • Tue 10/25 — Up
  • Wed 10/26 — Up
  • Th 10/27 — Up
  • Fr 10/28 — Up

Key dates:

  • Mon-Wed, Sep 24-26 — Improved outlook and optimism regarding communication/transportation businesses, commerce, and retail sales. Positive news about increased sales (e.g., of communication devices, cars, air travel tickets, tech gadgets, etc.) We may also hear about improved travel or shipping conditions. Weather-wise, we may hear about excessive winds at this time.
  • All week, for the U.S.: Improved optimism about financial sector and investments, positive news about rates and earnings from investments/insurance/taxes/banking fees. On Thur, Oct 27, we may hear about some changes involving financial policies, currency, debt management, bank fees, etc. — the announcement may be slightly stressful (as in, some project may end), but overall, the week looks optimistic for financial entities, tax-collecting entities, and insurance companies. Other types of businesses that may see increased earnings or some improved opportunities are business related to reproduction and end-of-life (e.g., burial homes).

Noteworthy transits:

  • Mercury trines Mars (Oct 24-26) — Beneficial energy of the trine in air signs (Libra and Gemini) may boost sales or provide opportunities for businesses related to communication/transportation, retail, education, social media, etc. For ex., we may hear about improved performance of some gadgets, improved engine performance, increased number of travel destinations, improved retail sales numbers, etc.
  • Sun conjuncts Venus and both trine Venus and then Jupiter in the U.S. chart (Oct 24-28) — For the U.S.: Optimistic outlook and positive news about earnings, financial policies, financial stability, rates, debt, loans, etc. At the same time, taxes may also increase.
  • Jupiter retrograde re-enters Pisces and then turns direct on Nov 24 (Oct 28 – Dec 20) — Improved conditions for businesses related to oil, gas, pharma, chemicals, navy, water, sea shipping, seafood, beverages, music, movies, etc. These businesses may see increased earnings, better opportunities for expansion (esp. internationally), lifting of some legal restrictions, increased flow/movement of goods, improved shipping conditions, etc. At the same time, we may see increased precipitation in the form of rains, floods, snow storms, etc. Once Jupiter moves into Aries for good in late December, the weather may become dryer and the availability of commodities/products/services related to the areas above may also decrease. At the time when Jupiter turns direct in late November, 2022), Mars will square Neptune indicating some conflict or a problem related to the same areas (e.g., accidents involving oil, gas, chemicals, navy; water contamination; spike in some infection; etc.). Thus, in mid- to late November 2022, we may see increased significant news about oil, gas, etc. accompanied by news about a reversal in some legal decision, permission, and prices. Specifically, there may be a drop in oil, gas, maritime shipments, seafood, etc. prices around Nov 14-24, 2022, possibly in anticipation of the reversal of some legal decision or an international agreement. This decision/agreement may come out (or a previously suspended legal decision may be overturned) around Nov 24, after which oil, gas, etc. prices may reverse and go back up.
  • Mars in Gemini turns retrograde  (Oct 30, 2022 to Jan 11, 2023) — Slow down, problems, or delays in commercial activities, retail, communication and transportation; decreased appetite for risk, cautious approach (e.g., among investors, esp. in tech companies, communication and transportation). The issue may have to do with the lack of enthusiasm, lack of energy, lack of passion, desire to reduce risks, a stalemate due to disagreements on how to proceed, etc. (Mars = energy, fire, engine, overt action, risk taking, fighting, sports, competition). As activities that involve overt action or face-to-face fighting may slow down, entities involved in conflicts or competition may resort to covert methods to push through their interests or to win competitions.

    • tolstunka says:

Hoping to get to Nov-Dec predictions this coming weekend. As a preview, at the end of next week (week of Nov 14, 2022) Mars will square Neptune, which typically coincides with (a) concerns about oil/gas prices and (b) market reversal (typically, a drop followed by a rally). On Nov 9-20 (esp. 14-15), Sun, Venus and Mercury will trine Neptune and Jupiter in water signs = negotiations about the price of oil/gas/chemicals & increased international negotiations (esp. involving oil, transportation by sea, and pharma).

At a glance, market directions for the week of Nov 14, 2022: Mon=Up; Tue= Likely Up, but not as strong as Mon; Wed=Mixed (possibly a slight drop); Th=Down; Fr=even stronger Down. Nov 18 (Fr) around 3pm looks especially ripe for a large drop or some distressing news about oil/gas/chemicals/pharma and/or for news about an accident involving oil spill, gas leak, chemical leak, navy/ship problems, excessive precipitation, hospital fire, spike in some infectious disease, etc. These concerns (e.g., disagreements about oil prices, arguments over gas deliveries, conflicts over maritime transportation, oil spill cleanup, etc.) will likely persist through about Nov 23. A similar situation (e.g., disputes over oil/gas prices or delivery) will emerge or the current situation may be revisited on March 9-12 of 2023.
